Maddy McFadden is an artist, published writer, teacher, advocate, and loving aunt living in Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University in 2021 where she earned several awards for her creative writing and visual art.
Maddy designs art to represent and uplift marginalized voices, challenge societal failings, and to encourage comfort and community among those who suffer from social outcasting and mental health issues. Her creative mediums of choice are installations, sculptures, paintings, and poetry.
Not only does Maddy champion a better world by way of her art and writing, she also makes an impact through education and advocacy. She has years of experience with various organizations advocating for and working with victims and survivors of sexual assault. She has worked with The Trevor Project, talking with LGBTQ+ youth in crisis. Maddy has also been an art teacher, as she loves to encourage children’s patience, critical thinking, confidence, and self-expression.
Maddy’s objective is to use art, education, and advocacy in order to create a healthier, more resourceful society and, in turn, redirect violence and prevent unnecessary suffering.
